Romios Gold's Newmont Lake Property to be a Major Exploration Centre in 2008: Teuton's Odin & Thor Properties are Right Next Door

Earlier this year, Romios Gold ("RG" - TSX.V) announced plans to spend $5 million on a comprehensive exploration program at its Newmont Lake Property, located immediately adjacent to Teuton's Odin and Thor Properties and about 115 km northwest of Stewart , BC (see map below). The program will include ground geophysical surveys, geological mapping, soil and rock geochemical surveys and a minimum of 5000 metres of diamond drilling (cf. Romios Gold Press Release, Feb. 19, 2008).

This program will follow up on last year's exciting results and the discovery of two new gold-copper zones on the Newmont Lake Property, the Chochi and RNT Zones. The RNT Zone returned values of up to 7.96% copper and 1.33 g/t gold, and features porphyry-style mineralization that is very similar geologically to that which occurs at the nearby Galore Creek Deposit (cf. Romios Gold Press Release, Nov. 8, 2007). Samples from the zone have revealed that it formed just over 200 million years ago—a time period when most of the gold-copper porphyry deposits formed in BC (cf. Romios Gold Press Release, June 23, 2008).

Just 2 km northeast of this discovery, Romios Gold discovered another promising zone in 2007, dubbed the “Chochi Zone”. Grab samples from the Chochi Zone yielded results as high as 2.61% copper and 0.796 g/t gold (cf. Romios Gold Press Release, Dec. 3, 2007). Geochemical sampling of local soil returned consistently anomalous copper values ranging between 100 ppm to 200 ppm copper and as high as 947 ppm copper. In addition to these two newly discovered zones, another 20 mineral zones are known to exist on the property, the most heavily explored of which include the North West Zone, the Ken Zone , and the Camp Zone.

The most important zone on the Newmont Lake Property is the North West Zone. Romios Gold reports that the North West Zone contains 200,000 oz. of gold, 6.78 million pounds of copper, and 291,000 oz. of silver (NI 43-101 compliant) (cf. Romios Gold Press Release, Feb. 19, 2008). Diamond drilling in an area near the North West Zone in 2007 is believed to have encountered an extension of the zone, with results grading as high as 27.3 g/t gold. Drilling at the Newmont Lake Property in 2008 will focus on this possible extension of the North West Zone.

The Newmont Lake Property is located about 45 km southeast of the Galore Creek Project of Teck Cominco and NovaGold Resources. As part of the Galore Creek Project, a completed section of access road now lies within 10km of the property, improving the economic feasibility of mineral exploration in the area (cf. Romios Gold Press Release, May 29, 2008).

Teuton's Odin and Thor Properties are immediately adjacent to the Newmont Lake Property and feature similar geology. Earlier this year, Teuton carried out an airborne geophysical survey of a portion of the Thor Property. Results from the survey are still pending. A program of property-wide prospecting is planned for Odin and Thor as soon as weather conditions permit, and will concentrate on areas of glacial meltback (ablation).
