Airborne Survey Outlines Major Geophysical Anomaly on Bonsai
Teuton Resources Corp. ("TUO") has received results of an airborne magnetic and electromagnetic survey over its Bonsai property, located 7 kilometers west of the Eskay Creek mine in northwestern British Columbia . The survey was part of a much larger regional survey carried out by former optionee Heritage Explorations Ltd. ("Heritage") over its extensive Eskay Creek area holdings.
Results from the regional survey were interpreted by Geoinformatics Exploration Inc., integrating additional data collected during Heritage's 2002, 2003 and 2004 exploration programs. This data was then compared to a modeled Eskay Creek signature, which allowed pruning of a large number of anomalies to six distinct targets featuring "Eskay Style" conductivity. One of these targets was located on Teuton's Bonsai property, in a distinct area which has not been previously explored by surface sampling or drilling.
The Bonsai anomaly is interpreted to have a strike extent of at least 600 metres, a down dip extent of at least 100 metres, and to be approximately 50 metres thick. The modeled depth is less than 50m below surface with a dip of 70 degrees/northwest. Please refer to the accompanying map for details.
Aeroquest Limited of Milton, Ontario flew the helicopter-borne survey using its innovative AeroTEM system. AeroTEM has been credited with a number of discoveries in the last three years, including the 2002 High Lake discovery of Wolfden Resources.
Teuton plans to immediately send a crew into the property to investigate the geological setting of the anomaly and to site drill targets.
The property is currently owned 100% by Teuton. Heritage, the previous optionee, lost its interest in the Bonsai by failing to make a required option payment due March, 2005. The missed payment preceded Heritage's receipt of the geophysical data from Aeroquest. Heritage has since expressed its desire to re-option the property.
