|Red Chris South Property|
This group of claims acquired by purchase and by staking, adjoins immediately south of the Imperial Metals' Red Chris copper-gold property.
Imperial Metals is developing its Red Chris property for production. Provincial and federal approvals for the project have been received and production is aimed to coincide with the completion of the Northwest Transmission Line in early 2014.Reserves in the main pit area total over 300 million tonnes grading 0.359% copper and 0.274 g/t gold
Surprising long intervals of copper-gold mineralization have been found by drilling outside the pit boundaries. One of these holes had a 152.5 metre intercept grading 4.12% copper and 8.83 g/t gold in the East Red Chris zone, contained within a 1,024m interval grading 1.01% copper and 1.26 g/t gold. In terms of length and grade, it is considered the best hole drilled in British Columbia since the Eskay Creek discovery in 1989.
Teuton recently carried out an airborne geophysical survey over a small part of the Red Chris South claims. Two half-circle magnetic highs were discovered truncated by the edge of the survey area. One of these highs apparently extends north into the Imperial Metals’ ground and the other extends west (still within Teuton’s ground) into an unsurveyed area.
Soil geochemical sampling is planned for 2011 followed by diamond drilling if warranted.
